REPLAY - Using IBM Rational Software Architect and Skyway Builder for Spring Development (5/12/09)

Over 50% of all Java applications being developed today are based on the Spring Framework. Skyway Builder, a Spring-certified code generator, integrates with IBM Rational Software Architect (RSA) to accelerate the design and development of Java applications running on the Spring Framework. The Skyway Builder integration with RSA enables a Spring application to be envisioned and modeled within Rational using UML. The UML is then transformed through Skyway Builder’s Spring DSL to create a fully functional, fully wired Spring application that can be deployed to WebSphere and other application servers.

Watch Skyway Software Founder and CTO, Jared Rodriguez, and IBM Rational Product Manager, Bill Smith, as they present a hands-on overview of Skyway Builder's integration with Rational Software Architect (RSA).

In this webinar, you will learn:

  • How to envision and model Spring applications within Rational using UML
  • How to transform UML into fully functional, fully wired Spring applications
  • How to sync working Spring applications with their UML models through bi-directional integration

REPLAY – Skyway Builder and Skyway Generation Framework for Spring (11/06/08)

Creating Spring applications is now easier than ever. Join SpringSource and Skyway Software for a webinar on how to accelerate the delivery of Spring applications using Skyway Builder and the Skyway Generation Framework for Spring.

In this webinar, Skyway Software Founder and VP of Product Delivery, Jack Kennedy will present a hands-on overview of Skyway's Spring-certified code generation capabilities. Building on Spring's comprehensive framework that abstracts the complexities of enterprise software development, Skyway's Generation Framework for Spring takes the creation of Spring applications one step further with rich tooling and automated configurations.

In this webinar, you will learn:

  • How Skyway Builder fits in with your existing Spring tooling
  • How Skyway Builder generates Spring-certified code that looks like it was hand-coded
  • How the modularity of the Skyway Generation Framework for Spring enables users to generate Spring code and artifacts as an end-to-end solution or for individual Spring Framework modules

Attend this webinar if you are:

  • Looking for ways to deliver Spring applications with fewer defects and greater consistency
  • Interested in learning how to focus on the desired behavior of your Spring applications instead of wiring and configuration
  • Curious about using rich tooling and automated configurations to deliver your Spring applications

REPLAY – Model Centric Design and Development for Spring (5/28/08)

As open-source technologies become more and more pervasive in more enterprises, this webinar highlights key underpinnings of the defacto runtime standard (Spring) for Java software applications. Hear Christian Dupuis, Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead, Spring IDE & SpringSource Tool Suite at SpringSource and Jared Rodriguez, CTO and Founder of Skyway Software also describe how developers can use Skyway Builder to modify/customize existing Spring applications quickly and accurately to minimize rework and retraining and to reduce application development risk.

You will learn/see:

  • A brief architectural review of Skyway Software's and SpringSource's tools
  • How to access SpringSource applications in Skyway Builder
  • How to apply Skyway facets/natures for quick, yet robust, application development and deployment
  • How to autowire for Spring to deploy applications to the same (or new) infrastructures

REPLAY – A Two Step Process That Will Simplify Software Delivery (6/27/07)

As IT organizations push to keep up with business, they realize they must find a way to add agility and simplification to their existing software delivery process. SOA has been touted as the great white hope but architecture alone will not make it happen. What is needed is a set of best practices that supports a new collaborative and interactive software delivery processes. The question is how does IT even begin to get there from here?

Hear Mike Gilpin, Vice President and Research Director at Forrester Research, Inc and Mike Evans, Director of Customer and Partner Enablement for Skyway Software address this topic in detail. Mike Gilpin will address the most important delivery concepts and best practices for developing and deploying business services as a foundation to a successful SOA strategy. Mike Evans will talk about new tools and processes that are required to enable IT to fully leverage this new interactive and collaborative approach to application development and deployment.

You will learn:

  • How to deliver applications that meet the needs of your customer - on time and within budget
  • How to blend existing steps within the software delivery lifecycle to speed up application development and deployment
  • The reason business services are the building blocks of SOA-based applications
  • How building out services allows you to leverage other investments
  • How to incorporate collaborative process design concepts and best practices into application development and deployment
